EthioP2P

Frequently asked questions

The short version.

Is EthioP2P safe?

Every trade is protected by automatic escrow — the seller's USDT is locked the moment a trade starts and only releases when payment is confirmed.

What fees do you charge?

0.25% trade fee from the buyer and 0.25% from the seller, plus a flat 3 USDT network fee on withdrawals. Deposits are free.

Which payment methods are supported?

Telebirr, M-Pesa, CBE Birr, and bank transfer from CBE, Awash, Dashen, Abyssinia, Wegagen, Hibret, NIB, Zemen, Bunna, Oromia, and Cooperative.

Do I need KYC?

Yes — KYC is required before posting ads, accepting trades above a small limit, or withdrawing. We accept Fayda ID and Ethiopian passport.

How long do trades take?

Most trades settle within 15 minutes once payment is sent. The seller has up to 30 minutes to confirm before you can open a dispute.

What network does USDT use?

TRC20 (TRON network) only. Do not send USDT from other networks (ERC20, BEP20) — funds will be lost.

What if the seller doesn't release my USDT?

Open a dispute from the order page. An admin reviews bank receipts and chat history within 24 hours and releases funds to the correct party.
