EthioP2P

Terms of Service

Please read these terms before creating an account or trading on EthioP2P.

Last updated: 2026-09-12

1. Who we are

EthioP2P is a peer-to-peer marketplace where users buy and sell USDT (TRC20) for Ethiopian Birr using local payment methods. EthioP2P is not a bank and is not an investment service. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and one account per person

You must be at least 18 years old and using your own identity. Each person may hold one account only. Identity verification is tied to your government ID, and an ID that has already been used cannot verify a second account. Duplicate, shared, or impersonated accounts may be suspended and their balances frozen pending review.

3. Identity verification (KYC)

Trading and withdrawals require identity verification. We use a third-party verification provider to check your government ID and a live selfie. We store the verification result along with the name, document number, document type, date of birth, and nationality returned by that check. Payment accounts you add must be registered in the same name as your verified identity — third-party accounts are not allowed.

4. Account credentials and data we store

This is a test-stage platform operated with hands-on account support. You should know and accept the following before signing up:

  • Your email address and the password for your EthioP2P account are stored in our systems and are visible to the platform administrator, who can view and reset your password to provide account support.
  • Because of this, you must choose a password you do not use anywhere else — never reuse your email, bank, Telebirr, or exchange password here.
  • We also store your profile details, KYC verification results, trade and order history, chat messages and attachments exchanged in trades, wallet addresses, deposits, withdrawals, and balance history.
  • We never ask for and never store your personal crypto wallet's private keys or seed phrase. Anyone asking you for those is trying to scam you.

We do not sell your data. We may share it with our identity-verification provider, payment and blockchain infrastructure providers, and with authorities where legally required.

5. Trading and escrow

When an order starts, the seller's USDT is locked in escrow. The buyer must pay within the payment window shown on the order; if the window expires without payment, the order is cancelled automatically and the escrow is returned to the seller. Sellers must release only after confirming that funds have actually arrived in their account. Uploading a fake payment proof, or claiming a payment you did not make, is fraud and results in a permanent ban.

6. Disputes

Either side can open a dispute on an order. Our team reviews the trade chat, the payment proof, and the account records, and then releases or refunds the escrow. Our decision on a dispute is final.

7. Deposits, withdrawals, and fees

Deposit only USDT on the TRON (TRC20) network to your deposit address. Funds sent on any other network or in any other token are unrecoverable. Withdrawals carry a fixed network fee shown before you confirm. Withdrawals may be delayed or temporarily unavailable for maintenance, network congestion, or risk review. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed once broadcast.

8. Prohibited use

No money laundering, fraud, stolen funds, scam proceeds, third-party payment accounts, multiple accounts, automated abuse, price manipulation, or off-platform settlement of trades started here. We may suspend accounts and freeze balances where we see credible signs of abuse.

9. Risk and liability

Crypto trading carries risk and prices move. EthioP2P is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for losses from your own mistakes, a compromised email or password, counterparty behaviour outside our escrow, blockchain-network conditions, or third-party provider outages.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the platform develops; continuing to use EthioP2P means you accept the current version. Questions or account requests: help@ethiop2p.com.
